Denver -- Mark Sink and Kristen Hatgi create gems. Image gems. One of a kind photographs that use an old technique called Wet Plate Printing, where a glass plate is the film, essentially. The image lives on the glass. It was exposed and developed there; and glows there.

The glass plates are displayed on eye-level shelves on both the long walls of Rule Gallery. Each image has an antique look because of the process but the subject matter is current, sexy and beautiful. I want the whole show: the little eye-level shelves lined with these gems of images. They're a little pricey, Mark Sink said, for photographs because they are not reproducible. They didn't sound expensive compared to paintings and no where near the price of the average diamond.
